Concept Design

During the conceptual design phase, VRU collaborates closely with the Architect’s team to provide crucial design inputs. This collaborative approach ensures that the Facade design aligns with the Architectural intent while meeting performance and cost requirements.

Our Approach

  • Review and Understanding of Architectural Drawings: We thoroughly review architectural drawings to understand the design intent and identify opportunities for facade integration.
  • Calculation of Wind Pressure and Review of Wind Tunnel Test Reports: Our team calculates wind pressure based on local wind codes and reviews Wind tunnel test reports to assess the facade's performance under different wind conditions.
  • Review of Facade Modulation and Material Availability: We evaluate Facade modulation and material availability to ensure feasibility and optimize material usage, considering factors such as aesthetics, durability, and sustainability.
  • Proposal of a Suitable Facade System: Based on our analysis and collaboration with the architect's team, we propose a suitable facade system that meets performance requirements and aligns with project objectives.
  • Comprehensive Conceptual Design Brief Report: We provide a detailed conceptual design brief report that summarizes our findings, recommendations, and proposed facade solutions. This report serves as a roadmap for the subsequent design and development phases of the project.
